Action to raise funds for Haiti - Artists in the storms - fundraiser for Fonkoze

From 9/25/08 till 10/18/08 we had an art show of Haitian artists, led and organized by Samuel Augustin, with booksignings and book raffles at: Artisan, 305 Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217.
Presently we will continue this action as a joint fundraiser for one year. We will post one work for one artist here in this space, and such painting will be available as a gift with a stipulated donation, of which a certain amount will always go to Fonkoze. Haitian art has been gaining lots of friends, and Sam Augustin who is a painter and an art teacher, is selecting high quality paintings.
Also: For a donation of US$50 (US/Canada), you can get a signed copy of the book Closing the Circle: Pursah's Gospel of Thomas and A Course In Miracles, by Rogier Fentener van Vlissingen, with the painting "Teach Only Love," by Samuel Augustin on the cover, and $25 will be donated to Fonkoze.

Sam Augusin, The Musician, 2007Sam Augustin is a native of Gonaïves, Haiti, who presently lives in Brooklyn, and is an art teacher in a Middle School in Brooklyn, as well as an accomplished painter with a wide range.
The painting is titled The Musician, it is acrylic on canvas, and it will be given as a gift with a donation of $2,500 to our organization, of which $500 goes to Fonkoze. It is mounted on a wood frame, and you can hang it as is, or have it framed.
