NYCW/The Course In Tongues
ACIM, and the Thomas gospel, in the context of Western tradition. Multilingual support.
Projects
  • A completely new Dutch translation of Gary R. Renard's The Disappearance of the Universe is currently in progress for release in early 2009, and to be followed by a translation of Love Has Forgotten No One, in spring of 2009. Both projects were facilitated with support of NYCW/TheCourseInTongues.

  • Spanish language seminars are in preparation, tentatively at the Church of the Mediator in Riverdale, NY, in collaboration with Lucia Espinosa, who was the translator of The Disappearance of the Universe into Spanish. Possibly Gary Renard might also be involved at one of his upcoming visits to New York. Rev. Diego Delgado Miller is the assistant pastor at the Church of the Mediator, and is interested in hosting this project.
  • A commentary on the Gospel according to Mark, based on ACIM principles, the works of Jan Willem Kaiser as well as the paraphrasings by Regina Dawn Akers (see www.forholyspirit.org), and other sources. This is presently available on Rogier's site on Facebook, with services provided by www.GreekBibleStudy.org - note that Rogier's notes are available only through the Facebook interface until Greek Bible Study develops such functionality natively.

  • Translation of all remaining books by Jan Willem Kaiser, by Rogier van Vlissingen. These books, and in particular Kaiser's magnum opus on the Gospel according to Mark, provide a powerful vehicle for clarifying the Course's relationship to Christianity, and is indeed also a teaching example on how to read the Bible with a right-minded attitude, in not coming from fear and the ego system.

  • Completing translations of major blog articles into Spanish, and perhaps also French.

  • Study/Research grant for Rogier van Vlissingen to complete the translation of the Gospel according to Mark fresh from the Greek, combining the best insights from J.W. Kaiser's work on that Gospel, along with some word choices and insights that are geared to the usage of the Course.

Our goal is to have a virtual and very modest basic operation that should be self-sufficient within the first 2-3 years of operation, and we are confident that at the launch of the endeavor we can already foresee a 30-50% coverage from revenues generated in the first year of operations for our first year's budget goal.

Beyond such fundamental operations we will simply list projects and pursue them as and when sufficient funding is raised. Preferences of donors will be respected with the sole proviso that basic operations will have precedence over special projects.
